A “business reality show” might sound like an oxymoron, but it exists — and it’s awesome. Girl Starter, is a reality TV show of young women trying to launch their businesses.
The co-founders of Girl Starter, Jeannine Shao Collins and Dani Davis, stopped by Bold Business to discuss young women in the entrepreneurial world. Watch the clip here or on our Facebook page. You can watch Girl Starter Friday’s at 7pm ET on TLC.
Here’s more info on Jeannine and Dani’s show: Girl Starter is a business-genre reality-competition tv show which documents eight girls ages 18-24 as they compete for seed-round funding. The series follows six steps of early-phase business building, from ideation through pitch. Girl Starter is produced in partnership with Al Roker Media on this great project to empower female entrepreneurs. The winner of the competition receives $100,000 in funding and services.
