Has it been a long and hard week? Need a little peace in your life? Chillax tonight night with friends, your honey or with yourself (for some real peace and quiet). Chai tea and whiskey anyone? Chai tea is a mix of herbs and spices the people of India have been enjoying for centuries to maintain good health and a peaceful mindset. It also helps improve digestion and boosts your immune system. This is a tasty yet simple cocktail perfect to sip while cozying up on the couch. Grab your blanket because it’s gonna be a Netflix kind of night. Brew chai tea bag for 5 to 10 minutes and cool. The longer you brew the tea the stronger the flavor will be.
Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lemon (but only use 1/2 oz per cocktail)
Add the whiskey, lemon juice, agave and cooled chai tea in a shaker with ice. Now shake it like a polaroid picture. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice and garnish with lemon twist or wheel. Until next time… save me a seat at the bar!
Note: You can also serve it as a martini and garnish with a twist.
