“I think that [Trump has] done plenty of things that warrant impeachment, and if this were President Obama, I would be pushing for his impeachment,” said Scott Dworkin, lead investigator for The Democratic Coalition, while discussing the arrest of Roger Stone with Bold TV.
While Stone’s arrest is a step forward in the Mueller investigation, Dworkin said he doesn’t think it is likely that this will turn the Senate towards voting for removal if the president was impeached by the House. He said media bias isn’t helping the case.
“There is definitely a bias towards if someone is presumed innocent or guilty because of the hysteria that forms around them,” he commented.
Several large news outlets including CNN, BuzzFeed and ABC News have been accused of producing inaccurate content surrounding the Mueller investigation. Is the media responsibly covering the investigation by presuming the President is guilty?
