Angelina Jolie is going from the big screen, to the director’s chair, to … the classroom?
The London School of Economics has just hired on the famous actress as a visiting professor teaching a master’s course on women, peace, and security. This class is run by the London School of Economics Centre for Women, Peace, and Security that Jolie launched last year with William Hague. Hague also will be a visiting professor at the school.
Jolie expressed her goals for the course in a statement:
“It is vital that we broaden the discussion on how to advance women’s rights and end impunity for crimes that disproportionately affect women, such as sexual violence in conflict.”
