Books, banking and babies will all be conversation topics on tomorrow’s new episode of Bold Business! Join us live at 9am ET on Facebook and Periscope with hosts David Grasso from GenFKD and Selena Hill from Black Enterprise.
*Update: Watch our full episode here or on our Facebook page*
After weekly headlines and a discussion on Dodd-Frank, we’ll kick off Bold Business with our Bookstr segment, which will feature two books perfect for Father’s Day gifts. Doug Brunt, a bestselling novelist, father, and husband to NBC correspondent Megyn Kelly, will share “Trophy Son.” His new book is the story of a tennis player’s struggle to achieve excellence amid the pressure of an overbearing father. We’ll then welcome Seth Stephens-Davidowitz, who has summarized his research on internet usage in the new book “Everybody Lies: Big Data, New Data, and What the Internet Can Tell Us About Who We Really Are.” Using data from Google, Seth’s book examines the human psyche by analyzing how everything from nepotism to racism can manifest in our online searches.
At the end of the show, we’ll be joined by two guests whose businesses promote female empowerment and self-confidence. Maternity and newborn photographer Lola Melani will tell us how her charity, The Lola Fund, inspires survivors of abuse, illness and more to feel beautiful and strong. Then, Nikki Weiner, CEO of Building Bold, will share her mission to empower women through writing.
We look forward to hearing from everyone tomorrow morning! In the meantime, learn more about all of our guests here:
