Do you ever get sick of the same old ham and cheese? I definitely do! Then this week I remembered the Turkado. Ahhhh, the Turkado. I bet you’re probably wondering what the heck a Turkado is. Well, let me enlighten you. It’s basically a turkey sandwich. An extreme turkey sandwich. Turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, sprouts… so yummy and quick to throw together. Let’s get down to business.
Now, usually I’d do this sandwich on rye bread but I didn’t have any on hand so I used white instead. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before but I’m the kind of girl who thinks of food and immediately has to eat it. Or else the world comes crashing to an end. Yep, that’s me. Anyways, toast your bread of choice and slather some good ol’ mayo on it. Don’t be shy.
Next comes the turkey. Any variation will do!
Avocado. Need I say more? … Actually I do. Load it on. Nothing makes a sandwich better than avocado. Plus, it’s a part of this sandwiches name! Turk-ado. Get it? Clever, I know.
Slice some tomatoes and throw ’em on. Can I just say that I cannot wait for garden season when I can use tomatoes from garden? Home-grown tomatoes are yummy! Am I right, or am I right?
I’m beginning to think that from now on you should just assume that when I say you should add a topping that I really mean you should add a ton of the topping. Bacon is so good.
Sprouts. These add a nice green flavor and change things up a bit from normal old lettuce. Plus, they’re so, so good for you!
Add another piece of toast with mayo and all you’ve got left to do is eat it. Enjoy! (I did!)
