My husband’s family is what I like to call “food snobs.” Looking back, I can’t believe he married me. Don’t get me wrong, I was a pretty good cook before we met. I had a great palette and made food with lots of flavor… most of it just contained canned soup or miracle whip or… ketchup. I still make a lot of that food (mostly when my husband is out of town. Nothing like some good ol’ cream of chicken soup to soothe a lonely soul, right?) but when my hubby is around I like to cook things I know will make us both happy… as opposed to just me. Sometimes I even surprise myself with my copious amounts of generosity.
