If anyone is considered to be an “outstanding young professional conservative,” it’s William F. Buckley, Jr. By age 30, he founded National Review Magazine and became the leader of the early conservative movement championing conservative fusion – a philosophy that brought together various strands of conservatism to work together to achieve political success and conserve America’s founding principles.
In his honor, The Buckley Awards began as a way to recognize outstanding young professional conservatives for their above-and-beyond service to the movement. Originally founded and organized by the Young Conservatives Coalition from 2010-2016, the award ceremony is still one of the only ones in this movement that focuses on great achievements of young professionals.
These young leaders are recognized for their significant contributions to the movement at large through either: leading or organizing a significant grassroots or high profile initiative, advancing conservative principles or young conservative activism, impacting news coverage of a high profile issue, or displaying courage under fire.
Previous winners include notable names such as Pete Hegseth of Fox News; Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist; Yuval Levin, founding editor of National Affairs; Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life; and many others who have shaped the movement in crucial and unforgettable ways.
As first-time hosts of this award, we at America’s Future Foundation are thrilled to keep this tradition alive and carry on as the caregiver of The Buckley Awards.
This year we are honoring: Ashlea Frazier of Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship; Adam Josefczyk of Forge Leadership Network; Kerri Kupec of Alliance Defending Freedom; Christopher Malagisi of the Conservative Book Club; and Russ Vought of the Office of Management and Budget.
We will be honoring these phenomenal leaders and their achievements at the 8th Annual Buckley Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, November 14 at 6 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, DC.
We invite all who would like to celebrate and network with these young conservatives to join us!
