Christie Marchese, founder and CEO of Picture Motion, told Bold Business that brands are getting into video storytelling to better communicate with their customers. Picture Motion works closely with filmmakers, distributors and brands to connect stories with engaged audiences, and works with clients like Patagonia, National Geographic, Amazon, Netflix and Hulu.
Marchese said, “Stories are the oldest form of communication. It’s how we understand each other, that is how we understand ourselves. And video storytelling is now how we communicate.”
Marchese said brands are starting to see longform video — even documentary films — as an authentic way for humans to connect through other human stories.
“Brands are trying to figure out what their story is and how they connect with audiences,” Marchese said.
