What if you have a day where everything went wrong? You go to sleep and wake up with a negative mindset the next day. This means that the negative wiring in your prefrontal cortex is firing louder than the positive. But there are some steps you can take to change your mindset. First, be self-aware. Until you realize how your circumstances are affecting your mindset, you can’t take steps toward change. The second step is to engage in small interventions that activate the positive neuro connections. These interventions can include anything from meditating to writing in a gratitude journal. These practices can change your brain’s wiring so you see the world in a more positive light.
