David Bowie, you will be missed.
Who will remind us to be bold and push limits? A free spirit, you were constantly exploring new ways to touch our souls. With every new album you surprised, moved, and inspired us. Thank you for the music.
Thank you for creating a space in which your spirit can live forever. A true artist, you turned to music even when your cancer diagnosis was fatal. With your final album ‘Blackstar,’ a chilling reminder of your astonishing six decade career, we are given some guidance into how to start to grieve and honor the legend that you are. It is so hard to say goodbye.
Your intuitive brilliance, experimentation and innovation will never cease to ignite that deep flame that connects us all. Your ongoing support for various charities furthers that raw and beautiful human connection that your powerful gift creates. Proceeds from every album purchase made in the month of your birth, and your untimely death, will go to help the charity of your choice, Cancer Research UK (@CR_UK), make new strides towards a cure. Although the right words are hard to find right now, at least our actions can make a positive change.
In ‘Lazarus’ you told us to, “Look up here, I’m in heaven.” Well, David Bowie we are looking up, and we are missing you. Rest In Peace.
