The campaign for gun control in Colorado is gaining traction with the introduction of the “Red Flag” gun bill in late February. This law would enable law enforcement to temporarily seize weapons from those deemed to pose a risk of violence by their family or the state.
Laura Carno, FASTER Colorado founder and visiting fellow for Independent Women’s Forum, argued against the bill. “I use a firearm just in case I need it for self-defense,” Carno said on Bold TV. “[Guns are] the great equalizer. If I am attacked by somebody larger than me or multiple assailants, how do I save myself?”
Do you think this kind of gun control alienates our rights or is it necessary to prevent violent crimes? Join the debate on Bold TV.
