Her book, “Betty Before X” follows her mother’s life from childhood to becoming a civil rights leader. Ilyasah is an accomplished writer and activist, currently an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and trustee for the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center.
Then, HuffPost’s James Michael Nichols will discuss the best LGBTQ moments at the Oscars, and discuss the reasons behind this year’s low viewership.
