Next Friday, on December 16th, the Highline Ballroom will be filled with all-star performers including:
Why are all these great performers coming together? For “Wall Street Rocks.”
“Wall Street Rocks is dedicated to harnessing the power of music to raise money for America’s heroes,” according to the organization’s website.
Wall Street Rocks (WSR) is a non-profit organization that organizes multiple entertainment events a year to raise awareness and money to support our veterans and first responders.
The upcoming event will benefit Operation Finally Home and Hope For The Warriors. Hope For The Warriors provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources. Operation Finally Home provides custom-built, mortgage free homes to America’s military heroes and their families.
Two organizers of WSR came on Bold TV to talk about their upcoming event: George Chrisafis, Co-Founder of WSR and Charlie Frattini, Star of FYI’s Hero House and a WSR Spokesperson.
Charlie also discussed the mental disabilities that he and many veterans face, like PTSD and how these are often overlooked. When Operation Finally Home build houses for veterans, they custom build for physical disabilities, but also psychological disabilities, taking into account what colors and elements will help these veterans.
Even if you’re not in New York, you can participate by buying a ticket and donating it to a service member. You can also donate to the organization, purchase merchandise or buy original music releases to support this great cause.
The WSR website says: “Your support means everything… You are enabling the most comprehensive veterans’ programs to rehabilitate, educate, re-home, offer career training and placement to veterans and reach out to the families and individuals who have lost loved ones.”
