In a reboot of the “American Pie” series, Actress Tara Reid told Bold Life that a divorce or a Vegas trip could be in the cards. With rumors of a reboot swirling, Reid said the characters “could go have another reunion” in Vegas or on a cruise and “everything goes wrong there.” Or maybe, “someone could get divorced now” or remarried, or hook up again. “You never know,” Reid said. “‘American Pie’ does whatever it wants.”
Reid made headlines earlier this month, as David Stephens reported in Screen Rant, for hinting that a reboot may be coming sooner than we think. Reid told Bold Life that she ran into the directors at an Emmy party and they told her, “We’re making it. It’s coming soon,” Reid continued, “So, I don’t know if they’re kidding or not kidding, but it looked like they were pretty serious. So hopefully we’ll be making ‘American Pie 5’ soon — it’d be amazing.”
Stephanie Webber from Us Weekly reported earlier this year that the script for “American Pie 5” was written years ago. And Robert Yaniz Jr. from Screen Rant even covered a deal with Universal and the writers in 2012, so this may be starting to look like a real possibility! Would you want to see an “American Pie” reboot?
We also discussed the newest “Sharknado” movie on Bold Life and how the campy, ridiculous series is coming to an end.
“When I read the [first] script, I thought it was the craziest script I’ve ever read in my life,” Reid said.
With past movies set in outer space and even portraying giving birth inside a shark, the series continues to top itself, with the newest movie now adding time travel.
“Who thinks of these things?” Reid joked.
The “Sharknado” series is known for its great celebrity cameos from Neil deGrasse Tyson to our very own Clay Aiken! Reid told us:
“I love Clay!…He’s a great guy and he’s really good. He was a really good actor. He was very fun to play with. We had [some] really cool scenes there.”
