“If you look at a few decades ago, at what happened with the cigarette tax and how that’s impacted America, you’re looking at something that could curb childhood obesity, could allow implementation of social programs that could help people lose weight,” Karyn Turk told Bold TV. Turk, host of Red America Radio, joined Bold TV for our Engineered Tax Services segment to discuss whether or not states should tax sugary drinks as a method to decrease the sugar intake of young children. She agreed with the tax, saying it could create a revenue and more importantly a healthier environment for Americans.
