The Life of an Entrepreneur Isn’t Easy, Do You Have What it Takes?

Hero Likeaboss

“Living the life of an entrepreneur is like a rollercoaster ride, you make so you stay on track,” I say.  Entrepreneurship is the process of being able to design, launch and maintain a business by offering a product, process or service that is able and willing to take on the risks in order to make a profit.

The success of an entrepreneur is like an iceberg illusion, all people see is the success part.  What people don’t see is the dedication, hard work, good habits, disappointment, sacrifice, failure and persistence.  Everyone is not cut out to be an entrepreneur.  I get asked often, how I do it, I say, “I just do it like Nike!”

Entrepreneurs have to be built like steel.  You have to be led by your dreams and not pushed by your problems.  You have to be able to start from nothing and stop for nothing.  As an entrepreneur you give up a lot when you decide to become a freedom seeker and self-determining.

All successful entrepreneurs share a number of common characteristics.  You can do a checkmate to see if you are a true entrepreneur.  Now don’t worry if you don’t have all of the characteristics most can be learned with practicing and self-thought books, trainings and by having a winning attitude, set goals and apply yourself.  There is even a formula to being a successful entrepreneur.

  1. Become known as the expert.
  2. Take what you do seriously.
  3. Plan everything.
  4. Manage money wisely.
  5. Ask for the sale.
  6. Remember it’s all about the client/customer.
  7. Becoming a shameless self-promoter.
  8. Project a positive business image.
  9. Stay current with technology & social media.
  10. Build a phenomenal business team.
  11. Invest in yourself.
  12. Be accessible.
  13. Build a good solid reputation.
  14. Sell benefits.
  15. Gain exposure.
  16. Limit the hats you wear.
  17. Follow up.
  18. Take time off.
  19. Be organized.
  20. Design your workspace for success.
  21. Speak affirmations.
  22. Speak what you want into existence.
  23. Think big, get big.
  24. Know your business.
  25. Know your worth.

With this formula and characteristics, you can’t do anything but win!  This formula works for me and many other successful entrepreneurs that I am connected with.  You must build your empire, if you don’t build your own someone will hire you to help them build theirs.

Some advice to keep in mind is that there are no shortcuts, don’t chase the money, don’t give up and business should be a win-win for everyone.  It’s okay to ask for help.  Coaches need coaches, lawyers need lawyers and doctors need doctors.

If you are an aspiring entrepreneur as in just starting out, seek someone that is already doing what you are interested in and start asking them to be your mentor or hire a coach.  Believe it or not they will be honored and flattered.

The whole purpose of being an entrepreneur is to be able to leave a legacy behind for your children and grandchildren, which is called generational wealth.
