Entrepreneurs are all too familiar with the hard work and dedication that is necessary to run a business. For young entrepreneurs especially, it can be difficult to figure out exactly how to run a business. That’s why the Harlem Tech Summit was created.

In a nutshell

The Harlem Tech Summit was founded to showcase and support Harlem’s emerging tech ecosystem. The idea is that by bringing multiple stakeholders with entrepreneurial experience to the Harlem community, participants will leave the conference with the skills and resources they need to succeed in their entrepreneurial and professional ventures.

What happened

The conference took place on Thursday, May 18 and consisted of VCs, tech founders, entrepreneurs and angel investors.

Why it’s important

Many millennials want to become entrepreneurs. They want to see their businesses succeed. Unfortunately, many don’t know how to keep their businesses running smoothly, and they end up with numerous problems on their hands. The Harlem Tech Summit was incredibly helpful to those people who have struggled with their own businesses, or who are intimidated to start businesses. The speakers gave insight and examples on how to successfully run a business, and that knowledge hopefully will give them an advantage going forward.

Takeaway

The Harlem Tech Summit was extremely helpful for entrepreneurs needing advice on running a business. It was also a great way to help bring the community together to show that there is no set way to run a business; the possibilities are endless.
